My brand-new children’s book is launched!

You can order my brand-new children’s picture book – ‘Charlie and Sophia and
the Sacred Garden’ after August 31 st , 2023. This story was created for 3- to 7-
year-olds and it follows Charlie and Sophia’s journey through the rainforest.
They meet some special animals and forest friends and experience some
magical moments. At the end of the book is a relaxation meditation utilising
the power of breath and visualisation!

I wanted to create a story that helps children practice curiosity and learn
mindfulness.

My books are available online in my shop here.

Charming Charlie and Spectacular Sophia is an engaging book, aimed at kids aged 7 – 12, focusing on the power of friendship. The story encourages kids to be proud of the person they are and to have hope for a future filled with fun, laughter and dreams of success.

School Programs

My in-school program encourages students to discover how to have hope and resilience in the face of bullying. The program is unique in its ability to actively engage students as they follow the story of my book. While celebrating creative ways to help kids feel joy.

Community Workshops

Building resilience, self-confidence and self esteem are at the heart of my community based workshops. With a creative and therapeutic focus, workshops can be customised in length depending on the needs of your group. I specialise in working with young children and parents, women and community and support workers.

Aged Care and Seniors Workshops

Our activities have the potential to be therapeutic, not just recreational. Older people are a fountain of wisdom, experience, and advice. We use this to help them share their story, enrich their lives and feel reconnected to their community.

Hi, I’m Fiona Ware.

Children’s author. Community Consultant. Program Facilitator and Arts Therapist.

For many years I’ve been working with children and families who have experienced hardship. It’s this that has led me to my mission of helping people, young children in particular, deal with bullying and anxiety. I’ve written a children’s book and accompanying workbooks to help them deal with stress and resilience through a relatable story with lovable characters.

I thoroughly enjoy working with people to inspire them to be the best they can be. Helping them to believe they deserve the success that comes with following their passion to help others.

With everyone I work with I am openly available to hear their stories, honour who they are and keep the spark alive.

“Have I Got a Story” by the Jubilee Wanderers

During the pandemic, the activity officer from Jubilee Community Care asked me if I could do some workshops on Zoom with her Senior clients to help them feel less isolated and more connected. That was the start of the ‘Have I Got a Story’ beginners creative writing course. It was initially an 8-week introductory course to writing which then expanded into 16 weeks culminating in creating a coffee table book of their wonderful short stories for family and friends.  I will never forget the laughter and joy as we listened, encouraged, and acknowledged each other’s bravery to share their stories out loud.

Recently I asked Fiona Ware to prepare a Creative Writing Class to do via Zoom for Clients of Jubilee Community Care.  What an amazing lady she is.  Our clients are thoroughly enjoying this 8-week course.  Fiona is an excellent facilitator, and one of the most dynamic, caring and supportive people I have ever met. She’s so encouraging and gentle with theses seniors, and they are producing great results because of her encouragement!!  Can’t wait to plan the next one for the New Year!!

Thank you Fiona 😊

Fiona Ware has been instrumental in supporting the Broken to Brilliant programs that support domestic violence survivors. Her kindness and care provided the listening ear, belief and understanding that allowed the authors at the Terror to Triumph and Shattered to Shining live-in writing workshop to feel believed and heard as they shared their stories.

During the Broken to Brilliant Survivor to Thriver Peer Mentoring program, Fiona ran three online Zoom sessions helping domestic violence survivors to harness their motivation, set goals and address the feeling of being overwhelmed. Fiona’s caring and warm nature was felt through the Zoom sessions and her program structure was clear and easy to understand with simple and practical steps to help people move forward in their lives. Broken to Brilliant will be requesting Fiona to run more programs for our Charity in the future and we are currently working with Fiona on designing the HEART program.

Thank you for sharing – the video is just AMAZING!

I think it’s wonderful the way you emphasised relationships and the importance of establishing a safe supportive environment. Your program is wonderful and we have been extremely fortunate to pilot this program. 5A students will remember this experience! And, I’m hoping Shankari and Kiki will be keen to revisit the book’s themes in the future.

**I also can’t wait to share this video at a staff meeting!
